We are a diverse group of widely representative community members working together to actualize our common vision and values for a reinvigorated and sustainable New Westminster.

MISSION

Our mission is to identify, cultivate and support candidates for municipal elections; as well as to share with our neighbours our vision and values, and engage them in the process of bringing the vision to life.

VISION & VALUES

1. We value the unique character of our “Small town within a big city.”

We value the attributes that make New Westminster unique. Its significant history, its enduring sense of community, its developed downtown core, its location on one of Canada’s great waterways, and its proximity to Vancouver make New Westminster appealing to residents, tourists and business owners.

New Westminster will experience tremendous growth. Our vision for the city’s growth reflects the dignity of its past while balancing the dreams, hopes and desires of its residents’ and business communities.

2. We value competent stewardship of our resources.

We value integrity, transparency and competent management in our elected municipal leaders, holding them responsible and accountable for processes they engage in and the pragmatic decisions they make about the use of our fiscal and natural resources.

3. We value integrated, balanced plans for growth.

We value balance in the creation of integrated plans for livable, sustainable growth in the distinct neighbourhoods that make up New Westminster. We believe that our vision for New Westminster can only be achieved through the collaborative efforts of our residents’ and business communities and so will actively engage all members of our diverse community in this process.
